   Because of all the pressure and expectations lofted on me, I'm losing who I am and what I initially loved about being an artist. My status as a superstar seems contrived to me because my handlers have rearranged in my head my perception of the real world. I thought life was boring, but being a superstar is almost like being dead.

   The song is about having one shot and being able to take it.
   it also refers to the film 8 mile(hense it being the theme song for the film)
   it is about him having only one shot to show his true potential.
   in the film he failed his first opportunity and knew the 2nd time he got he had to take it- his one opportunity to do everything he ever wanted.

Only him can say how he feels bad. Listen the lyrics. Listen it really and not just the chorus.

    Who are these people talking about this song and the illuminati ?
    I'm having trouble imagining these people even knowing who Eminem is let alone analysing his lyrics.
    I think that if you asked them to interpret Mary Has a Little Lamb they would find Masonic/illuminati symbolisim there too.
